Hi!!

My son is almost 13 months but doesn't seem to understand many words and I'm a bit concerned.

He responds to his name sometimes and understands "slap hands" (he never got clapping down) but that's it!

He sort of started understanding other stuff like bang and nose but then just stopped responding to it.

He babbles randomly but hasn't started making any gestures like he doesn't wave, kiss or point.

Just don't know if I'm expecting too much or I should have real concerns?

Thanks in advanced Smile

Have you spoken to your doctor about this? I am not in the UK..over here we have check ups at certain intervals, these are always good times to discuss development ...But one can also make an appointment whenever one feels the need..this might be a good first step?

Just wondering does he respond to noises behind him? Perhaps he can't hear? Not to frighten you just an idea that popped into my head.
