Sterilise Bottle Lids?

Twinmumessex · 07/02/2018 19:32

I’ve just bought a new electric steriliser as my previous one kept getting horrible limescale build up that I just couldn’t shift. The new one has diagrams in the instruction booklet that indicate only the bottles and the teats should be sterilised. I’ve spent the last 5 months sterilising the lids as well - have I been wasting my time?
Thanks Smile

I've always done the lids seems stupid not to since they'll be covering the teats, surely you'd want everything to be as sterile as possible.

Glad it’s not just me then ha!

It's a long time since I sterilised anything but I always did the lids, but I seem to remember that Molton fluid made them go cloudy. Maybe that's why they say not to do it?
