High-quality prefolds?

I've just recently switched to cloth nappies. After trying some different fitteds, wraps & stuffers I decided to use prefolds and bummis to make up the bulk of my stash. My mom brought me some prefolds from the US when DD was born. They are really nice, cotton twill, peroxide bleached, thick, no pilling... She said she'd never seen anything as nice in all her years of diapering. Unfortunately DD has grown out of them. I ordered some junior joy prefolds and they are awful! One of them has a giant hole in it after 2 washes! And they're just flimsy.

So does anyone know where I can get some really good prefolds? The website my mom got them from doesn't ship over here. Or can anyone suggest an alternative?

I use bambino mio and peachy cheeks prefolds. The latter are unbleached and so are a lovely creamy colour. Both types are thick and soft, and seem fairly indestructible, my only complaint is that the large size peachy cheeks are too big for a medium bambino mio wrap.

I would take your junior joys back to whoever you bought them from, or complain to the manufacturer - they should last longer than that.

I used to use a mixture of prefolds and found cotton bottoms to the smoothest and bambino mio the thicker cotton.
The centre panel on the cotton bottoms is narrower as well, which means the crotch is slightly narrower.
I used size one Junior Joys, with the pale green stitching for about five months and they weren't as flimsy as those you describe, they are still very usable. I wonder if the supplier has changed for that brand?

What size are you looking for? I noticed a difference between the sizings, I think Cotton Bottoms has more sizes.
