i got a size slightly out of his weight because the size down wouldn't have lasted very long. despite this it velcros up snugly around his waist, but could it be leaking because it is too big?

Is he wet all over or just at the top of his legs or at his waistband or is he so soaking it's impossible to tell?!!

nappyaddict · 30/04/2007 15:55

all the one leg of his trousers was wet yesterday afternoon and then wen i got him out of his cot this morning it was all wet.

it was sort of the back of his legs by his knee and abit higher.

sounds like the fit round the thighs is not good, prob because you went up a size a bit early, a popper wrap such as a motherease airflow or nature babies popper wrap woul offer a better fit and last a while as there are several different popper settings at both the waist and thigh of the wrap

nappyaddict · 30/04/2007 16:52

i'll just wait until he grows into them and use something else then.

If it is a non gussetted wrap you could put it on as usual, then sort of push the sides of the under the crotch bit upthe sides of the underneath of the nappy but try and keep the edges down and out so they are almost folded up and in if you see. This way the wrap should fit right up tight to the nappy bit still have the edges out so they don't fold inside the nappy and wick?
And if the waistline is too big then try pulling the front tabs across one another and fasten with a pin- the tabs don't usually see any wetness because the front of the wrap sits in behind them.

its a gussetted wrap

Ah, then try putting it on so that the middle section covers the whole of the underneath of the nappy and the seams are along the sides and then the gussets up the sides of the nappy.

will try that.
