Bedtime for a 11,9 & 5 year old help?

Can some one help me please
What is an acceptable time for my children to go to bed
Ages 11,9 & 5
I think I put them to bed to early

11& 9 year old share a room

Need to go to bed at separate times due to fighting and arguing

But I like an early night too
As I'm an early riser

Any helps appreciated x

My 9 year old goes to bed at 9pm. Suits us since she isn't up until 7am.

DS used to go to bed st 8 when >10. He goes to bed st 8.30 now he’s 10.

flumpybear · 01/02/2018 19:04

DS5 goes to bed about 730
DD is 9, an owl 🦉 unfortunately as imma lark! Goes to bed about 9 but struggles to sleep stil awake at 10-11pm sometimes!!! Confused

ChoudeBruxelles · 01/02/2018 19:04

Ds 11 lights out between 9 and 9.30. Depends on clubs. He has judo tonight from 7.30-9 so it’ll be 9.30. Last night nothing on so it was 9.

He has to be up at 6.40. What time do your dcs get up?

SavoyCabbage · 01/02/2018 19:07

My 11 year old goes up the stairs at 7:30 and puts her light out at 8:30. She gets up at 7am.

thepurplehen · 01/02/2018 19:09

What time do they have to get up? It's not about bedtimes but total amount of sleep. A child that has to be up at 6am will need an earlier bedtime that a child that gets up at 8am.

youngnomore · 01/02/2018 19:12

Ds 13 sleeps 9.30/10pm. Gets up at 7 am.

Airbiscuits · 01/02/2018 19:22

My children (8 and 10) go 8:30-9:00 ish and get up at 7:00

They board sometimes and it's lights out at 8:00 and up at 7:00. With all the giggling and chatting after lights out it's probs more like 9 by the time they go to sleep though anyway.

Cacofonix · 01/02/2018 19:32

Nearly 7 yr old lights out 7.30 and nearly 10 lights out 8. To be fair 10 yr old could prob stretch to 8.30 but will wait a bit as I like my evenings. Both have to be woken up at 7am for school so I think sleep times are good.

TeenTimesTwo · 02/02/2018 13:06

DD2, 13. Lights out 9pm up 7:30am.

5yo 7pm, 9yo 8pm, 11yo 8:45pm?

LMC84 · 03/02/2018 01:01

Thanks everyone
All of them are up at 7:30am

I try a new routine this coming week and see how it goes

I think from what I've read it is what just suits each family isn't it
