my ds will be 4 next month & we are still having problems with potty training!! He started using the toilet about 1 month ago, which to me seems really late but anyway we had about 2 weeks where he had no accidents and always got to the toilet so we thought we had cracked it. However 2 weeks ago he started to have accidents and this week it seems to be getting more and more frequent. Any suggestions as I am tired of cleaning pooh off carpets, clothes & child!!

sticker chart? loads of bribes and praise. Don't make a fuss when he has an accident, try to make no comment at all as he may well be doing it to see how you react.

We cracked this by making the point of taking them to th toilet every 15 minutes even if they were smack in the middle of something. Then when they say oh but I was doing so and so, you point out that they have to go to the toilet when you tell them as they wont go themself when they need to if you see?
Works well if they are always busy as they get the message that they will constantly miss out or be interrupted if they don't start doing it themselves. He's obviously capable if he was doing it already.
