Hi,

I was wondering when your baby moved into size 3 nappies? A friend said babies move into size 3 at 4 weeks. Is that correct?

Thanks

It varies depending on the baby's size, the brand of nappies, and how well they fit on your baby. Basically, you keep on with one size of nappy as long as it continues to fit your baby comfortably, and does the job - ie. holds in any leaks!

I'm sorry I can't be more definite than that, but it is not something where there is one right answer for every baby.

My baby was small (In the lower percentiles) so he moved to size 3 when he was roughly 4.5 months old.

At about 9 weeks old.

Foggymist · 30/01/2018 13:57

Depends on the baby, my 10 week old is in them the last 3ish weeks. My babies have chunky bottoms and big poos Blush

confusedhelpme · 30/01/2018 14:17

Depends on size of baby of course!

Chaosofcalm · 30/01/2018 15:26

I always keep one packet of the next size up in the house so you can try them out to see if they fit.

Rach000 · 30/01/2018 16:34

I have a nearly 5 week old and still in size 1. Think it would have to be a big baby to be in size 3.

sleepycat13 · 30/01/2018 21:25

my ds just turned 4 months. still in size 2 but think he will need size 3 soon. he is small and has no bum!

katielondon0419 · 08/10/2020 08:56

Completely depends on the baby. My little girl was small and didn't move into size 3 until six months, and she still has plenty of room in them at 10 months. Others obviously go into them a lot earlier!

larajeancovey · 08/10/2020 11:56

3 month old here - just moved into size 3 in the last couple of weeks, but could still get away with size 2 in certain brands.

All depends on weight and shape of baby, and also the brand as some are bigger than others.

newmum234 · 08/10/2020 12:01

DS is 5.5 months and still in size 2! I’ll be moving him into size 3 when he uses up all the size 2s we have.

BabyG08 · 08/10/2020 12:06

My baby was 5 weeks when he went into size 3 (Aldi premium we use)
he is a big lad though Grin
