Flat lead syndrome updates with pictures

Hi everyone. Here are some pictures of my baby with flat head syndrome I would like to share with the worried mums.
Be positive!

My baby boy is 4 year 3 month old now.
He had really serious flat head on one side from 2-3 month old and that's when I started to worry and panic. Before that I was told by HV it's nothing serious and I believed it then it got worse :(

I couldn't sleep for many nights and kept searching online for advice and products that might help the situation.

I tried many different pillows, repositioning, tummy time, everything I could. Didnt seem to improve. Couldn't try the helmet though due to his serious eczema at the time. He got really bad infection on cheeks and scalp. I didn't want to put a helmet over that sensitive skin to make it worse.

So in the past 4 years I was living in regrets all the time. Why didnt I turn his head on both sides while he was sleeping in the first 1-2 months?! He could have had a perfect head shape but I ruined it! I hated myself whenever I looked at him. It was such a sad angry feeling. Angry about myself. :(

I didn't even want to look at his old baby pictures because that would remind me my stupid mistake.

Finally I decided to look through the old pictures and face the reality. Then I realised! The situation now is not as bad as I thought! He may not have the perfect head shape at the moment but it did improve a lot!!! As seen from the pictures!

I believe when he become an adult in future nobody would even notice it like I always do!

My husband once said: I dunno why you are so worried. Have you ever seen anyone complaining gf/bf has a flat head? Have you seen anyone bragging about their pretty head shape on dating website, CV or in real life?

I guess not....

It is a bonus if the head shape is perfect. But if not, it's just a minor thing compare to so many other important things in life. So"take it easy"...to you, and to myself.

I'm glad after 4 years I'm finally getting over it. :)
