Hello,
I am a proud mum to my 1 year old baby boy. I'm struggling a bit of I'm honest and always have found it a bit tough.

Admittedly things are gradually getting better in regards to sleep, weaning etc but I still feel like I get things wrong. I also feel it's a struggle to fill the days with things to do.

I know I should be treasuring my days with him as he will grow so fast, but I end up feeling really anxious and fed up.

Can I ask when you started to enjoy your baby/toddler more?

Thanks

Everybody gets things wrong, its natural! So please try not to feel anxious about that. Firstly do you have any routine? What does your baby like to do? My LG is 4 now and I still sometimes long for bedtime! While on mat leave I used to get out of the house at least once a day if I could, so wake up, breakfast, play with some toys etc then nap, while baby napped I tidied/got dressed & organised for going out. When she woke I would get her fed again, into car or pram and go to park/library/coffee shop/swimming. (Swimming is a good one to fill the day as it makes them tired & also takes a while by the time you've got out & dried yourself etc) after that it was usually a nap on the way home, dinner and a little play before bath & bed. On rainy days I tried to do sensory things in the house. (Have a look at playhooray) and often we would go on little adventures together. More for my benefit than hers. I really really enjoyed it, but could never be a stay at home mum as like you I definitely found it tough!

@singingpinkmonkey I feel similar to you. I can relate to the monotony and repetitiveness of it all. Have you considered a part time job? I’m starting to think that’s my only option to keep my sanity.
