Green baby poo

Not sure where to post this!

12 week old EBF has had green nappies for almost 3 wks. He's happy and growing well, no apparent discomfort.

He had green poos once when he was a few weeks old which came back to normal.

Now however, his poos range from bright green to this morning's dark tarry green (unusual). Sometimes seedy, sometimes mucousy. Only once or twice has it been yellow.

I'm reluctant to go to dr as I don't think they'll have the magic answer and he is otherwise very well.

My diet is varied- nothing new or unusual recently.

But I'm concerned this is an intolerance (very reluctant to start down this path).

Has anyone had a similar experience? Advice would be very much appreciated

Yes, my youngest had green poo for a time. He turned out fine, no intolerance.

DD had green poo for a bit, too much fore milk and not enough hind milk. I was told to put her on the breast I fed with last, so instead of doing right left right left I did right right left left for a while and it cleared up.

DD had same as you describe...lots of green, some very bright green, some mucousy etc. I did go to the dr and we ended up being seen by a paediatrician who said that it was likely DD had a mild cows milk protein allergy - but there was no need to do anything about it at all as she was happy and growing fine, and babies like her should just grow out of it.
