Quick background, my son turns 3 next month. I've not had a lot of luck with his birthdays. We don't have close family nearby with kids so have just kept it low key with me and oh. His first birthday I was promised I could do a nice birthday party in his nursrey as all his baby room kids are there and to bring a nut free cake. I was so excited for him but the day before I was told they changed the policy and no cake. Not a big deal, but it was for me as this was the only celebration that was being planned

anyway - fast forward. I have attended a handful of parties with him in the last year and taken the plunge to hire out our local softplay for him

I sent 20 invites out on wednesday (blue tac to above coat pegs). I have not had one reply

ok it is only Friday, but I'm desparate to give him a nice party as he loves other parties we go to. It isn't for a few weeks (maybe I sent them out too early.....)

I'm also worried because it is on a saturday between 4-6pm. I couldnt get it earlier than that as thats the only time we could hire the softplay

Am I panicking too soon? I'm so anxious about this and want so badly to give him a nice fun party with all his friends. I guess I just RSVP as soon as I can and put it on the calendar right away, seems others dont do that. Also if I get only 1 or 2 replies should I cancel it?

Silly I know, and I know there are a lot of problems in the world and this is silly. It just means so much to me

when mine were at nursery, i used to email the invite to the nursery manager & she would forward the email to the appropriate parents. notes would get lost in bags too easily.

do you know any of the other parents? even by sight at pickup/dropoff? if so, speak to them.

I’d not panic till after the weekend. Weekdays are really busy for me so I often won’t Reply till the weekend when I can check diaries etc

If it’s not for a few weeks then I wouldn’t expect many rsvps just yet! Don’t panic!
