Silent reflux

Hi all,
My LO is 6 months and has a CMPA but also terrible reflux!

She's on gaviscon and ranitidine but to no avail! Just recently her milk was changed to Nutramigen and she seems a little more settled but even before the change in milk I notice she had a really strong vinegar smell on her breath and it's still there now following the milk change!

Can ranitidine stop working? I've had her dose adjusted according to her weight already but she seems to be getting worse Sad

Our baby was prescribed omeprazole which was a wonder drug. We also gave her probiotics and anti-reflux formula but I don't know if the do anti-reflux for nutramigen.

Is she on the maximum dose? There is a range of safe doses. GPs usually start off at the lowest safe dose. Otherwise, omeprazole is usually the next step. You need to give the formula a little time to take effect too. I also found thickening it with carobel better than using Gaviscon.

My DS changed to Nutramigen at 5 weeks and it took a few weeks for him to settle but has made the world of difference now. We did baby massage today and they were demonstrating a massage for reflux, I have no idea if it would actually work but may be worth trying massage? No idea about ranitidine thought sorry! Horrible to see them suffering isn't it, hope the formula change works Thanks
