Hubby depressed that Ds wants me all the time

Ds1 is 22 months and has always been a bit of a mummy's boy but ever since ds2 arrived 10 weeks ago he just wasn't a me all the time.
He cries for me at night, screams when I leave the room and cries when DH takes him to bed, it's breaking DH' heart he thinks he thinks he doesn't love him and it's really depressing him.
Does anybody have a similar experience, was it just a phase?

Yes it's a phase but it can be a really long one. It's really common but really hard on dads (and not easy for you either, as it's hard to get a break).

They do grow out of it. In the meantime he just has to hang in there, it might not seem it now, but the effort he puts in now will pay off in their long term relationship.

Can you go out once a week and leave them to it? Most small children object to you leaving but are ok once you do. Give them some time together to bond without you.

My ds feels like this about dh. I cant say I love it but am just plugging along hoping he will come back to me soon..
