Come talk to me about reusable nappies...

I need to replace a number of my BumGenius.

I want to replace them with similar style and they must last til BabyDragon is potty trained (she's 15 months).

They must fit the inner pads I've got for the BG as I have loads of them!

I much prefer velcro fastening.

Slim fitting is a must

I like the way the BG fit like a disposable and I could replace them with BG2s, obviously. I'm not overly fussed with colours and wacky patterns, I quite like the plain simplicity of my BG

Fuzzi Bunz will fit the pads from BG although they are poppered nappies. I like them and find them almost as good as the BG. You could also try happy heiney's which are aplix fastening. Umm, will have a think and be back later.

I'd looked at HHs and Slinki Minkis. Briefly and in no detail at all because, quite frankly, I'm clueless.

I dont find poppers so easy to fasten and they seem less adjustable. I've got one Wonderoo outer thingy and it just doesn't fit as well.

Fuzzis are better than wonderoos though, as you don't tend to get wing droop as much. Have you looked at little rainbow nappies? They have a few different brands that I've not tried before which look quite good.

Minkis are really reliable, but they are not slim at all so best used for night time.

Oh, you could also have a look at the nature babies ones, again not tried but they have two different sorts. I think you just have to find which shape suite baby dragon best and then go with that.

Forgot to say these are for daytime only. I've had nappy rash issues (well, DD has, not me!) using them overnight.

Thanks

(sniggers at the thought af BabyDragon with "wing droop" )

oo - i am jsut staring out www.nappyzone.co.uk and have a number of happy heiny solids in stock which im sellin gfor a snip at £8.50 each instead of the usual 10 - but it wont last as they are running out quick. If you want to try heinys have a mooch on my very shabby effort of a website (its getting developed behind the scenes!) I also have a couple of medium drybees which are similar rto bumgenius.

Have you taken out a small business ad, young lady?

Fuzzis would fit the bill best - they are popper though - you don't tend to get much other than BG as a velcro pocket.

Weenotions pockets are great too - again popper (with little buttons at the side to stop "wing droop"... although her just exercising the little things would probably help more )

nappyzone · 26/04/2007 15:50

ooooo and how do i do that and how much does it cost? - just loaded it up recheck www.nappyzone.co.uk mmmmmmm

nappyzone · 26/04/2007 15:51

young lady lol! oooooooo i like you! ha ha!

Flamesparrow · 26/04/2007 15:55

£30 for 3 months - go click on "small business ads"

nappyzone · 26/04/2007 16:05

oooo thats a bit of a scarey investment for a lady like me on unpaid maternity leave! lol! Think i will wait till my shop is proper up and running as a web store (when i get my finger out! lol!!) Flame do you mind if i ask - have you applied to fuzzi and ever had a repsonse - they seem really poor at getting back?

Flamesparrow · 26/04/2007 16:28

I'm waiting for babykind to get back to me with details (not entirely sure why I'm not going to them direct though )

At the moment I can only sell Fuzzis as an agent rather than on site iyswim.

Flamesparrow · 26/04/2007 16:31

With the MN ad I decided that as I was going to be talking about my site it was unfair if I didn't buy an ad because otherwise those who have bought are being sidelined.

nappyzone · 26/04/2007 16:36

yes that seems fair enough - i will dutifully place one soon - its frustrating i laugh as every time i email a manufacturer they come back with a babykind repsonse - it makes me chuckle so! lots of people want fuzzis though and i can do nothing for them grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Maybe i will direct them to you out of niceness! Will keep plugging the heinys! must go now and make tea, feed baby, feed preschooler with apetite of a horse, feed myself, put the washer on etc...... oh the life - cant wait to throw proper work in there too when i have to return lol!!
