Cold sores and baby

A tiny, evil cold sore has appeared on my lip this morning.

My DS is six months old. I will avoid kisses and step up the hygiene, but how worried should I be if he catches it? I've read neonatal herpes is very dangerous but not sure he still falls under the newborn category.

At six months he is well past the new born category.

Just try your best to avoid him catching it...my son got one when he was 1 year old and even in this age he was in such pain and suffering the most I have ever seen him.
