I have a new job and will be relocating but my DS does not want to come, his dad is unsupportive and wants him to stay with him (DS has always lived with me) any advice?

At the age of 12 probably best to let him decide. Keep your home open to him and he can try out the new place slowly but surely.

That seems hard on your DS....at that age he will have established friends and be settled st secondary plus presumably you are expecting him to move away from near his dad too. Do you have to move to your new job?

@bythebeach significant new job in new location which requires a move (150 miles away) I have, of course, considered all of the concerns for my son and have ensured he can continue regular bi-weekly contact with his dad. I don’t feel that st 12 DS knows what’s best for him and like most of us he does not like change.
