How long does teething take?

I'm aware that's a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question but roughly how long did it take for your little one to go from first symptoms to tooth breaking through?
The youngest DD has just started and has gone into it with vengeance Confused she's 7 months btw.
It's been such a long time since the other DC were tiny, I can remember when they got their first ones but can't for the life of me remember how long it took for them to push up through.
Thanks x

It was usually about 1-2 weeks for us, though different teeth and different ages were different. The first ones though definitely two weeks pretty much exactly.

The first 2 (at 5mo) took about 2/3 weeks then we had a few months gap, then (10mo) the top front two took about a month to finally cut and 6 more followed quickly and relatively easy. We have had another few months gap and now (13months) have all 4 second molars on their way. He has been teething these ones for what feels like forever and they are really causing him problems. Fingers crossed you LO breezes through them
