At what age is it not ok for DD to see daddy's weener??

Our DD is 20m and very attached to her daddy at the moment, she has to go everywhere with him, even the loo - its either that or full blown tantrum. Never really gave it any thought until last night when we went for a walk and she started imitating daddy having a wee, was pullig the front of her trousers and making wee noises,so cute - we were hysterical. But seriously, that does show she has been noticing things so will probably stop her from going into loo with dad. I guess if she were a boy there would have been a lot of proud "thats my boy" being muttered but cos she is a girl.........

rabble, LOL that your DS thinks willies make ok substitutes for dogs! Bless!

FrannyandZooey · 25/04/2007 21:57

Ds stopped taking showers with dp because "your great big willy just flaps in my face daddy"

he has also told me "I love my little willy, mummy, it's so nice and little and pink"

Astrophe · 25/04/2007 22:04

LOL F&Z, he will be disapointed when he grows up though!

He also announced quite loudly in Sainsburys the other day

"You know Mummy, my willy is doing something very funny in my pants"

LOL again - can't wait until my 1 year old DS grows up!

never been an issue, but as they are older they let you know when they want you to cover up.

I was in the buff in the bathroom and dd2 came in, she wanted loo
'its Ok' I say

'no I'll come back....' !

it has never been a problem before...

'you have too many wobbly bits' she says...like she's never noticed before!

Wotzsaname · 25/04/2007 23:05

FWIW dh has covered up for a while cause they say he is having a baby!

Pround beer belly, he says.

I remember as tween telling my parents that I didn't like them walking around naked. They told me to get over it. So I did!

When she gets embarrassed by it I would say. We have no issues with nudity in our house but at about 8 my DS#1 started to want some privacy. DD who is now 8 is going the same way. If ever they express embarrassment about seeing their parents naked, we will change the way we do things. Seeing a 'weener' (that term confused me for a while I have to admit) in it normal state is very different from seeing one... ready for action as it were!

When DD was potty training she used to stand over the potty and hold on to her belly button. Took her a while to accept that she didn't have the same equipment as DS#1.
