That's it really. 17 day old baby has had tummy/wind issues since birth and the afternoon crying is driving me bonkers especially since I have others to look after. Tia

Colief and cranial oesteopath worked for us. There are loads of suggestions including gripe water, and yesterday on another thread I saw : "homeopathic remedy called Colocynthis" - which is apparently very good.

Giving up dairy (only if breastfed obviously ).

Patience seemed to be the only thing for me - i tried everything, but don't think they made much difference (but i was too scared to stop using them!)

kitty: you might find this Colic Resources page helpful - it was compiled from a Mumsnet colic thread about 3 years ago and contains just about everything everyone tried at some point or another

Hope things improve soon - I remember that stage well {{hugs}}

Thanks , there are times when I have not so nice thoughts towards him . It was the same with the other boys. The girls never had these problems .

Colief worked for us

Boco · 25/04/2007 19:03

Cranial osteopathy was the only thing that worked.

angelbaby1 · 25/04/2007 20:19

We found that Colief and Dr Browns bottles worked brilliantly for our DS. It was a bit of a pain making up the bottles in advance but it worked for us so was worth the hassless.

Arriety · 25/04/2007 20:22

Few drops of weak fennel tea in a bottle. But obviously only works if you are giving a bottle although it can be in EBM or formula. If you are breastfeeding you could try drinking fennel tea yourself.

Cranial osteopath. Definitely.
