3mo only taking 2oz at a time!

I recently went from breast to formula my baby took to it straight away no problem. But now he's started only drinking approximately 2oz per feed then flat out refusing anymore. Occasionally he will drink more and he has once drunk 8 oz in one go so I know his tummy can handle more. Does anybody have any advice on how to get him to drink more in one go? I'm wasting so much milk and it's so time consuming doing these little feeds. Has this happened to anybody else? I'm worried he's not getting enough either. For the first week of formula he was drinking 30+ oz and these week he's maybe getting 20... any help would be appreciated!

Maybe he needs the next size teat up?

I bought some today but again 2oz.... Although I don't know if it's the vicious cycle of him eating so often he's not hungrier for more. Hopefully it'll help tomorrow morning after his long sleep, start the day on a big feed so he can go longer then have another big feed. I'm not holding me breath but you never know 😂😩 thanks though!

My DD did this when she needed a teat size up, it's as if she got bored drinking!

Could you really try and drag out until the next feed so he’s more hungry? Mine can only go 3 hours at 4 months during the day and has 6oz each time. Can you try and keep him really entertained to stretch out the time so he’s more hungry?

My LO did the exact same at around 3 months! Felt like we tried everything, changed teats (just chocked on faster one), bottle brand and went back from comfort milk to normal milk (with advice from GP) and after a few weeks she just slowly picked up her milk herself and is back up to 7oz!

Give your HV or GP a call if worried which I did and they just reassured that for the time being that's all your LO wants and if hungry they will take more. We had to just feed little and often to make sure she didn't become dehydrated.

Does your LO cry and fuss after the oz or just not want it? As could be reflux
