Since becoming a parent my brain seems to have shrunk to the size of a walnut.

Birthdays, errands, insurances, things I said I'd lend a friend, food I should have bought etc etc Thank god I'm yet to forget one of the children except when the newborn is very quiet and briefly forget she's actually there but I'm concerned it could happen one day!

How do you stay on top of all this stuff and remember things??

I’ve had to get a wall calendar to stay on top of things like appointment/birthdays etc, that and reminders on my phone, but I still forget things I don’t write down all the time !

Diary,, calendar, reminders on phone, whatever works best for you. Try them all and see which you find the easiest and most effective in terms of things forgotten

Calendar on phone with reminders and to-do-lists dived into urgent and non-urgent tasks.

A desk diary that stays open on top of my microwave in the kitchen-it's something I'll always see and it's become habit to check it each day. I've got one with lots of boxes for the members of our family and it's absolutely invaluable. I use a dodo pad.

Good tips, thanks folks. I actually got one of those family planner type calendar things for Christmas, so I'll definitely start to use that. I need to be better at writing notes on my phone when I think of something that needs doing. There must be an app for that!!
