Dentists

My 16 year old daughter has a massive fear of the dentists I have no idea what started it! We went for a check up today and were told 2 of her wisdom teeth must be extracted ASAP and 3 fillings. The dentist said she will get a few numbing injections in her gums, she will not be put to sleep. She's crying non stop? What shall I do?

I would insist on referral to the hospital for possibility to have it done under GA. I know a few people who were told their wisdom teeth needed to come out and second dentist said they didn't so a second opinion would be helpful. Having wisdom teeth out with a local is grim so definitely don't let her go through that will compound her great ten fold.

Extractions can be done putting her to sleep but for the rest...Ask for sedation. csn be awake but she'll be high so won't care about the rest! I remember a friend at school had this and she tried coming back toclass after... was hilarious! And she hated dentists! !! X
