Anybody else dislike New Year?

Any body get depressed on NYE? I don't know what it is but I've just never liked new year no matter how I've tried. I've done the nights out when I was younger and got the t shirt and I've done the parties. These days i tend to stay home with dh, we have a young ds and just have some drinks and nibbles. I always just feel like it's boring and like everybody else is out doing something better. I just hate the whole happy new year saga every year and find it depressing. Anybody else feel similar?

Me. Hate New Years its always a let down after all the fun of Christmas! It was fun when I was younger but feel a bit over it now. Hoping when DS is a bit older (currently 4) we might be able to enjoy more. As it is I'll probably be in bed by 10!

I hate New Year. My dd died 2years ago. Last year I was in bed for 9. This year I'm putting on a brave face and planning to stay up.
I've always found Hogmanay a sad time of year. Least I won't have a hangover tomorrow Wine.

Really sorry to hear about your DD Parkhead. I also hate NY. It was my girls' due date and DD1 died much earlier (prem) so always a sad day for me too. I am always glad when it is over. I will be thinking of you and your DD tonight.

ParkheadParadise So sorry Flowers thoughts are with you. You do what suits you and what ever makes this time of year alittle easier.

I hate new year. It depresses me. Can't wait for ds to go to bed so I can top.

Me too, I find it a strange kind of depressing time when I get nostalgic and teary. I'm sitting here thinking of my dad who died when I was 13.... I can't stop blubbing!

Least I won't have a hangover tomorrow

A neighbour has just came round with a bottle of champagne.
Seems rude not to have a glass.
Thoughts are with everyone who finds tonight hardFlowers
