30 months old....should I be trying now?

He doesn't get annoyed at a dirty or wet nappy. If he's asked if he's pooed he says "no".
I'm going to get a book to help me on my way, but I wondered is this about the right time to have a go?

Have a try by all means but don't set your adult heart on it. My 30 month DS2 is certainly not ready and I'm not going to bother even having a go until half term when I'm not in and out of the car traipsing DS1 to pre-school. Even then I'll be happy to can the idea until the summer unless he makes some progress within 2 or 3 days.

Wait until it's shorts weather, they take up less room in your handbag. Consider them training pants you can wear out and about.
I've got a pile of 12-18m stretchy cotton shorts waiting for my DS (26m at the mo) as he's in cloth so none of his trousers will fit him once he's out of nappies!
