My daughter is 8. She has a favourite teddy that her big sis bought her on the day she was born. She adores him. He is missing. We now think On Christmas day he was on the sitting room floor amongst all the ripped wrapping paper. My daughter cleaned up for me & I think she prob scooped up her teddy with the paper & into the bun he went. The bins tragically had been collected that night. Teddy is Gone the tears are flowing god love her. She said she would give back all her toys to santa if she could just have her teddy back 😢 my question is where does the rubbish go??I live in cork county & our bins are collected by country clean. I tried ringin them but they are closed til Jan 2nd. We seem to have the worst luck. Any help/advice would be so appreciated. Thanks

Do you have a photo or description? If a floffle can be found between us perhaps a teddy can be too?!

PersianCatLady · 30/12/2017 17:01

Floffel- that was a lovely thread

If it went with the papers in the recycling bin you have a good chance of getting it back.. The recycling rubbish is sorted by people. I accidentally threw away a magazine that had a plastic wrapper on it and I got a text advising me that I shouldn't have.

Yeah find a pic of it, with any info you can remember ie brand etc and we’ll see what we can find.

Yes please do send a pic of the teddy..it’s very likely somebody on here has one too.

Hi the thing is that we have another exact replica of the missing teddy but she never took to him ever and only the original old raggy dirty teddy would do u know how it is im sure. She even said she would give back all her toys to santa if she could just have her teddy back. It wasnt in the recyle bin we think. I am thinking it was in a white bag in the other waste bin. Probably nothing we can do now but just thought Id ask. 😩

I think if it went in general waste you don't have any chance, maybe try the replica one again x

bobstersmum · 30/12/2017 20:51

Could you try and replicate the grubbiness of the spare teddy so she thinks it's the same one?

Imfinehowareyou · 30/12/2017 20:53

We replaced our Dd'S missing soft toy with a replica and a note from Father Christmas explaining how he cleaned 'bunny' up after his adventure.

Thanks for all your thoughtful comments ..She just has no interest in the spare teddy..she says the other one had a bald spot & a soft rubbing spot that she rubbed. Shes 8 so theres no fooling her im afraid. I just feel so sorry for her she cries every night for him hes been with her every night since she was a baby.
