I have not posted before but am feeling so desperate I don’t know what to do.
My eldest son has used drugs since the age of 15 ( he is now 22). He started with weed but has been using cocaine since about the age of 17. We have been through so much, lies, paying off his debt, his going awol. He does work but flits from job to job.
Things have come to a head over Christmas as we have had bricks thrown through our windows on two separate occasions. He has admitted he owes about £1,500 which we feel compelled to pay as our home is not safe now. He has two younger siblings who are great kids and cause us absolutely no bother. They are also fed up with their brother and distance themselves from him most of the time.
We live in a nice home, both myself and DH work and have always tried to help our son. He is not at a point where he wants to help himself and we have now said he must leave home. He has nowhere to go so we will help to set him up in a bed sit.
DH and I are walking around like zombies and I feel wretched. My son can be pleasant but most of the time is angry, and pretty horrible to me. He has had lovely girlfriends but eventually they tire of him.
I feel desperate. He needs to change but is not prepared to seek help. I also think he is probably undiagnosed ADHD or Bipolar. His behaviour is very erratic but of course this could be the drugs.
I just don’t know what to do.
