Do I take DS (12 months) swimming tomorrow if he has a cold?

Will it make his cold last longer? Will it spread the cold to other children at the pool? He is very, very snotty today.
Sorry if those are stupid questions.

We're supposed to be going with someone else and her ds tomorrow to lend moral support. I feel like I'd be letting her down if we don't go, but think it may be unwise. Can't decide what to do. (I know if I ask her she'll say come, it is only a cold).

make sure the water and air temp are warm so he doesn't get too shivery..give him calpol...don't stay in too long. It might clear any congestion. Shouldn't worry about germs ...it's chlorinated. Don't think it'd make his cold last longer...unless you completely compromise his immunity by exerting him too much. It might distract him fromhow yukky he feels.

I wouldn't if he is very snotty and congested. He probably doesn't feel great and being cold won't be good.

If its a head could then I wouldn't not take your child swimming. He could end up developing glue ear.

If the cold is mild then a short swim won't hurt.
