@Toomanycats99 my lo got put on a Sucrose elimination diet and it looks like it's working Smile one of his test came back to say he had low IgA? How do you find eating out? Have your taken your lo to a non English speaking country and eaten out? We'd like to go to Spain this year just don't know how'd we get on. Any help very much appreciated

To be honest hers is so mild it doesn’t really affect eating out. We just know what to avoid (dried fruit, fruit flavoured drinks and yoghurt mainly)

As wel I don’t think 1 meal of something g bad really affects - there is defiantly a build up needed. If she had one bad meal she might just have a dirty bum for 1 day so nothing we can’t handle. I’m not sure how much stuff sucrose is in to know the effect.

We're having to avoid everything with sucrose in, it's in everything. Went to frankie and bennys the other day, all their Childrens meals have sugar in them! We're trying foods that he has to avoid at the moment (once a week) and he's reacted to everything so far. He managed ice cream ok, but reacted on the second day. Back at the hospital in the new yr to see the consultant and dietician so hoping for more help and guidance

Ah that sounds a nightmare - I think corn syrup (fructose) is much more widely used in the us so if we went their it might be trickier.

Maybe we should go to America lol. I think I'm making a lot of presumptions, I'm going to speak to a travel agent. I can't be the only person to go abroad with a rare food intolerance

@Toomanycats99 I've found glucose powder that I use as sugar. It has boosted his energy levels loads. Didn't know if you'd found it too?
