Baby night terrors

Looking for advice on night terrors. I have a 16wk old (12 adjusted) baby, who has on 3 or 4 occasions including about half an hour ago, woken up screaming and sobbing inconsolably with night terrors. It's not hunger or thirst or pain- it's emotional. Does anyone know if there is any way to relieve him of them? Something I can stop eating to help?(he is mixed fed due to poor latch).
Thanks xx

Seems a bit young for night terrors. What happens if you feed and cuddle?

I agree that night terrors is v unlikely in a baby so small. It can be normal for a baby to be very distressed upon waking if they are hungry or in pain or if they just want you. Can I ask what makes you so sure it is not these things?

Normally when he wakes up he stirs, moves his head from side to side and just moans- this is full blown sobbing. It's only cured by cuddles 😞

my 13 week old does this too but only ever during day time naps when he has been asleep in car seat or on me. it has never happened at night. I assumed it was due to being uncomfortable perhaps pins and needles or something or just being startled.
