Toddler shoes for small but chubby feet.

DD has small feet. She is 2 and a half, a size 4.5 but very chubby at the same time. The size shoes she needs are way too tight around her feet and ankle. Tried getting the next size up which fit around the feet better but are too sloppy on the length.

Are there any stores that sell shoes that may fit her? Other than Clarks? She has a pair of boots from Clark’s which actually fit very well but have tried some shoes on in there with no luck. She is living in wellies at the mo.

It’s not so much a width issue, it’s the chunk of her feet and over bulging while wearing them.

I wanted to get her some pretty sparkly shoes for Christmas but having no luck! 🤔

independent shoe shop.
some european brands are great (ecco, ricosta, elefanten)
do you have a pares store or brantani nearby? schuh at a push

Yes to a lot of European brands. Dd has normal feet but her instep is high. She wears Geox, Bo-Bell and Petasil shoes. They don't have width sizes but the shoes are not slim fitting and they are deep meaning that feet have room. And I find shoes with a t bar rather than a single strap prevent foot bulge!

Just Awwwwwwwww!
No help at all, sorry, mine are older now but you made me go all misty eyed.

Thanks all. I live in Cornwall in the middle of nowhere so shops are limited! Will have a look online but too late to order anything now so she will going for the pretty dress and boots look this year! 😂

My eldest always had small narrow feet so actually had the opposite problem with shoes being too loose around his feet!

Try happy little soles online. You can also phone them and they will help you work out which will fit.
We found bobux great with ours

Thank you. Will have a look! 😊

Yes bobux are good for chubby feet!

GreenBook · 21/12/2017 12:54

Bobux via Happy Little's Soles here, too. Or Plae (though not sure if they go that small).

Janetjanetjanet · 21/12/2017 12:54

I have nothing to add but I bet her feet are well cute!

Acorncat · 21/12/2017 14:38

Bobux are quite narrow. My chubby footed DS used to wear Livie & Luca, shooshoos or Kidofit, from Happy Little Soles. Plus they have the benefit of being barefoot friendly. Just measure and order online.

OhWifey · 21/12/2017 14:56

Another vote for happy little soles, especially livie and luca but we also have kidofit.

My small but very chubby footed is a 3.5-4 and again, can’t even squeeze her foot into normal high street stores shoes! Weve found luck with ricosta this time round Smilewhat I’d give to buy a pair from next and be done with it Grin
