Diarrhoea in 6 month old

He's had it since yesterday, nappy constantly filling with greeny poo which has also brought on some sore looking nappy rash.
He's definitely teething (cheeks, drool, chew chew chew), and we've introduced 'food' in the last couple of weeks, not that he's had any in the last couple of days and I don't plan on giving him anything til this is resolved.
He's also started to do a weird straining complete with red face this evening.

When, if ever, is it time to go to the doctor?

Thank you

My little one had it for 48 hours and I called 111 for advice, the nurse wasn’t concerned and said to keep an eye on her. She was still her usual bubbly self, just pooing and spewing everywhere! We gave her Dioralyte to stop any dehydration and she got better as quickly as she got ill! Apparently it’s spreading like wildfire.

Ok that's so good to know, thank you.
I'll call 111, I hadn't thought of that

Thanks again

My little one had diarrhoea and a rash when she was 7 months and the doctor said it was just a virus that needed to work it’s way out of her system and just keep her hydrated. It took 9 days to clear and it felt never ending but it does get better!

Try Metanium for his bum too. It’s magic stuff Xmas Smile

Thank you.
The nappy rash is getting really bad and the diarrhea is constant. At points in the day I'm changing him every few mins.
Doc just prescribed Dioralyte and said to ride it out.
Gonna be an interesting Christmas..

If he’s Bf you won’t need the Dioralyte. Just saying in case you didn’t realise Smile
