So I've got a 9 month old and we don't seem to do much what can I do to keep us amused?
Also if you go out where do you take your little Ines I find I'm always indoors don't know where to go

Go anywhere and everywhere.
Do you have parks nearby?

We used to go to the
Park
Woods
Baby groups (mostly the church ones)
Look at the ducks in local pond
Supermarket
Library. They sometimes do nursery rhyme and story sessions.
Galleries and museums (more for me but baby just liked being out and about)

Church baby groups aren’t usually religious they’re usually friendly and low cost.

I'd love to go to the woods but am scared this time of year bit slippy!! Wish I drove feel like I'd do so much more :)

Don’t let not driving stop you. Getting out for a bit as often as possible is really good for your physical and mental wellbeing.
Even just going for a daily walk is beneficial. Point out things like trees, birds, cars to your baby.
Do you have places you can get to by walking? Do you have good public transport?

I have some parks near me but they keep randomly locking the gates aha but he does love the park! Gonna go out into town today it's a big walk up a huge hill home so wish me luck, very much looking forward to it though! 😇

My DS loves the bus and train - he gets so excited when we do this rather than take the car somewhere. He is a nosy so and so and gawks at people and sings the wheels on the bus ! During the day buses and trains are a bit quieter so should be easy to take your buggy on/off or you could wear a sling. We sometimes just went somewhere for the sake of getting the bus rather than having a destination in mind!

What would you have done before you were pregnant when you had a free day to yourself? When mine was a baby, we didn't really do anything just to entertain her. I just took her along and did all the other things I'd do in a day, food shopping, running errands of various sorts, take a walk, go for coffee, go for lunch, go to the park or the beach, stay at home and get housework done (I'd wear her in a wrap and carry her around with me while I did it). Obviously, some of those things are easier if you drive, but you must have ways of getting around to do things you have to do, so I'd do that. I almost never went to any sort of groups or classes.

You don't have to drive to go places. My and my partner go out and mainly we walk EVERYWHERE or we get the bus sometimes.
Have you got indoor play areas by where you live? Parks? Baby groups?

Milkandtwosugarsplease · 19/12/2017 18:07

Try baby groups, they’re a great place to mix with other mums while your baby gets to play. Parks are brilliant although it’s obviously not the best time of year. Soft play he’d probably love too.
