5mth old not responding to noise much

Hi all
DS is just coming up to 5mths old and I've recently become a bit concerned his hearing isn't great. His newborn test had to be retaken but was OK second time. He just doesn't seem to respond to noise much - he has a 22mth old sister who is always buzzing around chattering and playing with musical toys etc, so I wondered if he was just a bit used to random crashes but I've tested a couple of times when she's in bed and it's generally quiet and he still often doesn't startle let alone look. Is he just too young or should I be concerned? I've booked him a GP appointment in the new year but it's always on my mind now I've noticed it!

If you're worried and he's not responding to sudden loud noises get him checked. Does he respond to you calling his name?
