D's will not sit at high chair or table to eat?

She happily ate at her high chair last week mow she refuses. That's fine but she will not sit/stand at her table either. She just wants to walk around the house with a bowls of spaghetti Bolognese! We have also taken her tray off the high chair and pushed it onto the dining room table so she felt she was sitting closer to us but no success. Any ideas? I know it will pass.

How old is she? Have you considered a booster seat? Ds1 we tb through a tricky phave with this, I was pretty zero tolerance tbh. I can't stand kids wandering about with food. So now he gets himself in the chair and straps himself in (I give him the option are you getting in or shall I put you in? ) and sits there til he's finished. We had a few tears and tantrums but he soon got the point.

Don't give her a choice. I'd go down the route of if you are not sitting at the table then you don't get to eat. She'll soon be hungry enough to sit and eat.

20 months is too young to expect them to sit still with a meal. Just keep putting her in the high chair or no food, she’ll soon give in.

We had this problem. We let of DS watch to/bring a toy to the table while he ate until they got into the habit of sitting while eating. The distractions were then taken away. Not ideal and quite embarrassing but it worked in the end.
