How much to you monitor your DCs social media

I have always monitored my DCs social media not because I want to snoop but to keep her safe and to offer guidance about stuff that may be inappropriate. I am constantly astonished by some of the pictures and language that is posted by many of her friends and I can only assume that her friends parents are not bothered by what their DC are up to online. Am I the only person who does this?

I do it at arms length but my dd is only 10. I tell her I trust her and she can talk to me about anything that crops up. Her school and local police do loads about internet safety.
Her instincts are generally good on privacy, safety and not getting dragged into stuff.
