Should I be worried about 9 month old DDs development?

DD has just turned 9 months and has only been sitting unaided for 2 weeks. She's not really showing any interest in climbing, crawling or pulling herself up. She's quite happy just sitting with her toys around her or flying around in the baby walker. She's also not mastered a sippy cup yet, just throws it around but doesn't drink.
She's weaning well though, eats most food I offer her and has a good appetite. She's alert, babbles a lot, laughs and engages well with her toddler brother but just seems so behind where he was at the same age. He was crawling and pulling himself up and drinking from a cup; she still feels like such a baby. Should I be worried? HV said only to get in touch if she wasn't sitting by 9 months but she was so close to that age when she did.

Sounds fine to me. She’s getting around with the baby walker so she may not feel the need to master another form of moving just yet 🙂

Maybe get rid of the baby walker?

Do not worry at all

Baby walkers are not recommended. Some thing to do with leg development and walking.

Get a copy of birth to five by Mary Sheridan to get a definite list of mile stones.

HV gave us a referral to a paediatrician at DDs 11 month check as she was in the red area for physical development. I didn't take it and within a few months she had got to grips with loads more and is now on track for her age at nearly 2.

She's just more interested in sitting and playing, singing and dancing than charging around climbing everywhere. Her language and social development is ahead of the curve.

It's almost like they're all just different people who will do things in their own time
