Calling all mums (and dads) - teething pic attached

Does this look like her two teeth are coming through? She’s been teething forever! But particularly bad the last week.
Last night she was sick at 3am and at 6am had diarrhoea, and a few more bad nappies since. Could this also be teething? She seems fine in herself, no temp and playing happily so I’ll be keeping an eye on her.

Thank you Flowers

How did you manage to get such good picture of her gums!?

Yup, looks like teething.

DD was the same last night, feel your pain. Fist bump.

Aww thanks guys! Smile Do you think it’ll take long for them to properly come through now? It’s been a long time coming lol xx

The painful bit it them cutting not them coming out so so long as the gum is cut she shouldn’t be in pain anymore.

Warning my dd they all came out one after the other so the poor thing never got a break it was like 6months of hell then full set of teeth

Talcott2007 · 01/12/2017 14:05

It may take them a while to fully emerge - but as soon as the top of the tooth actually breaks through the gum it will stop hurting her! So not long now by the look of it! I've found rubbing ambesol on DDs gums has been really effective

EvilDoctorBallerinaRoastDuck · 01/12/2017 14:07

Yes, I can see 2 little bumps! 😆

TwinkleStars15 · 01/12/2017 20:15

Omg we’ve had another poo explosion and this time it was illiminous green! Confused Hope it is teething or there’s something else going on lol x

Yep looks like the teeth are pretty much through

Teething can cause horrible acidic nappies, basically because their saliva gets more acidic and more copious to prevent infection while the gum is cutting/healing, so when they swallow all that acidic saliva it makes acidic poo. Nappy rash often happens. I've never heard of it causing luminous green poo or vomitting though... I spose it could but I'd think that was more likely a bug especially given time of year.

Thanks mini that’s helpful. She was just sick the once and has been fine since so hoping it’s not a bug but still keeping an eye on her. I can’t feel anything sharp yet but does look like they’re nearly there!

mini you were right - she has a full blown tummy bug. So far we’ve had 8 diarrhoea nappies yesterday and 7 today as well as 3 projectile vomits Shock
