How old and do they nap? Ds1 has been getting later and later. I'm going to try and move it earlier. He rarely naps unless were I the car for 20 minutes plus after 3.30.

He's been having dinner 5.30 ish and is in bed by 8 mostly. Today he was up early (5.15) so going to try and bring things forward. He's just finishing dinner. Will colour for 30 minutes then up for bath etc.

When mine were tiny I woke them up from napping no later than 3.30. Dinner was 5.30ish, bath 6.30, back downstairs for quiet cuddles and stories and in bed between 7 and 7.30.

We usually have dinner around 5 and when they were toddlers, we’d aim to have them asleep be 7.

Dinner at 5, bed at 7 for 2.4 year old. Same for my 4 year old, and has been the same since both were tiny!

Both dropped their naps at 20 months though so were ready for bed at 7.

Ds (almost 4)today he got up at 7 am and will go to bed at 7.30. He hasn't napped today but will 4 or 5 days out of 7 if we're at home- 2 hours in his bed when he does,

Dd (2.4 years)today she got up at 7.30 am and will go to bed at 7.30. She will nap for 2 hours in the afternoon unless in the buggy when it's nearer 1 hour and she will sleep a bit later the next day.

They both have their tea at 5.30 ish but might have bread and cheese before bed if they're still hungry.

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/11/2017 18:15

I forgot to add he's 2yrs 4 months, always needed less sleep than most but I feel an earlier bedtime would suit me better even if he gets up earlier.

Napping for 2 hours in bed!! Envy (definitely envy)

DD aged 2.7 months, also rarely naps unless we're in car.

Dinner is usually sometime between 5.15 and 6.15 depending on where we are and what we're doing. Bedtime is an horrendous struggle and usually anytime between 9.15 and about 10pm. She's always been horrendous and fights sleep like we're inflicting pain on her by making her go to sleep. She's up once or twice during the night and up to stay between 5.30 and 6.30am.

mindutopia · 27/11/2017 20:16

At that age, mine dropped her nap altogether. Our schedule was pretty much the same as it is now, dinner around 6:30 and up to bath after. She was in bed/asleep around 7:30-7:45 (once she actually dropped the nap, before she dropped the nap, it was awful, like 9-10pm after hours of screaming!). She woke up usually around 6 ish.

WhyTheHeckMe · 29/11/2017 14:17

My ds is 2 next month. Wakes at 7.30, lunch at 11.30, nap 12.30-2 in his bed. Dinner at 5.45 and bed at 7. Dreading him dropping his nap!!

PinkHeart5914 · 29/11/2017 14:23

Mine are 15 months & 26 months. They do not nap in the day

They wake up betweeen 7:30am-8am
Dinner 5pm
Bath (4x per week) 6pm
6:30pm always story and bed

ZigZagandDustin · 29/11/2017 14:34

My toddlers don't get a nap (unfortunately the 1 yr old quit naps at about 14 mths😭). They have dinner at 5, supper at 6 and bed at 7. Neither of them are ever up later than 7.10. They are great at going to bed!

Cracklesfire · 29/11/2017 14:38

DS is 2 in a few weeks. Sleeps 7.30 til 7.30/8 and has a 2-3 hour nap in his cot most days.

Didn't nap at all or sleep more than a few hours until he was 1 so it's like he's making up for lost time.

Cracklesfire · 29/11/2017 14:39

Dinner is at 5.30/6 then bath, a rowdy game of hide and seek then story, milk & bed.

Lovelylovelyladies · 29/11/2017 14:40

4, 3 and 1

Upstairs for jammies and book at 6.30 asleep at 7

Up between 6 and 7

SwishswishBiTCH · 29/11/2017 14:42

Ds1 is 3 in May, he's all-out a short nap only if it's between 11-2, anytime after that he's not allowed other wise he doesn't sleep on a night.

Tea is at 5.30pm
Bath at 6.30 pm
Snack and story at 7pm
Bed at 8pm

Then..

Up at 6.30am
Breakfast at 7am
Nursery at 8am most days
If not at nursery, 8am chill time/tidy up
12.30pm dinner time
2.00pm snack and story
