Has anyone done Rapid return for their DC? If so was it successful? How long did it?

I need to do this on DD who is 2.4 when we move I think.

Yes,
Didn't work for us. Ds thought it was hilarious which kept him up for hours. One very long week properly wasted, I was in tears, he ended up in tears, the baby cried.
I'm sure I did it wrong thought, looks so straight forward on super nanny.
I ended up putting the travel cot up and threatening to put him in it (I may even have done for a few mins). He hated that more so stayed in his bed (which was lucky because he could climb out the travel cot and would have hurt himself if I had left him in there for any time).

Are you having a problem with your DD?

Oh no sorry it didn't work for you. How is your DS now?
Not an issue as such with rapid return but I think there will be.
DD is a poor sleeper & she usually sleeps in our bed after the first wake up (which is usually 11pm) - this is what I need to sort out, we are moving house shortly so I want to get her sleeping in her own bed when we've moved in. I'm planning on taking the sides of her cot off but I can see now she is going to keep getting up.
I'm not very confident rapid return will work for DD but I need to do something as I've had enough.

It didnt work for ds because he has autism though we didnt know it at the time so being put back to bed without any cuddles etc just really distressed him. But he knew it was bedtime so would often just stay in his room and we would find him crashed out next to a pile of books.

Dd is almost 3 and we use it with her. Its beginning to work. We only have to put her back twice before she stays. Most of the time she runs back to bed when she sees us coming.

DD can be quite clingy so I'm dreading it.

Red how long have you been doing it with DD?

A few months I suppose. It was never as bad as the kids you see in supernanny although we did cut down on her nap which has helped.
