Taking Pram on Holiday - 4 month old - Advice needed

Hi all

We are taking our 4 month old baby on holiday to the Canary Islands for the first time - the weather will be mid 20s and we are off in a few days.

Having a bit of a panic attack as don't feel like we are taking everything we should be.

At the moment we have a mamas and papas flip xt pram and we are using the carrycot part (lie flat completely) as he is below 6 months.

Firstly we are flying with Thomson and apparently pushchairs are allowed so im assuming this is allowed (even though two parts to it). Is is ok to take this?? ie it won't get thrashed around on hold luggage and get ruined??

Secondly do we need to buy anything to protect our baby from the sun that is specific to the carrycot??

Any advice much appreciated!! Going on holiday on thurs morning. Time is running out!

Get a parasol for the pram. Re the carrycot, we took our dd on holiday when she was 4 months and only used the pushchair part. It lay down enough that she could sleep but we found that she was so much more settled sitting up and looking around her. We never used the carrycot at home after that! Have a lovely time
