Anyone had a son/daughter involved in a sexting incident that the police got involved in? What did you do?

I don’t know anyone personally but last school year y7 two boys were suspended for sending inappropriate texts to girls in same year. I don’t know if it was that alone but the same boys were also trying to get girls to look at porn on the school bus, so that may have played a part in their suspension.

There was talk of the girls parents involving police, but I don’t know what came of that. One of dds friends parents knows them and has them on Facebook and said parents of boys not happy at all and plastered all over face book about it not being fair that the girls can ruin their sons education and that boys will be boys.

I have to say if my daughter had received what these boys had sent I’d be taking it as far as I can, same if they were shoving pornography in her face on the bus.

Her school are great and encourage girls and boys to report sexual harassment. Sadly after watching the documentary on tv a few weeks a lot don’t seek to take it seriously.

A friend of ds (15)had a police caution for sending pics and bullying girls into sending them back.
