Brushing teeth

I heard my ex showed our 5yr n 7yr olds a fairly graphic video of people with rotten teeth because they were messing around when they should have been brushing their teeth. I'm totally against this type of approach and feel it's wrong. Brushing teeth is a challenge ever single day for me with the wee ones..and whilst I don't always hold my patience I do try to positively encourage. Am I out of order thinking the way I do? Welcome thoughts and experience. X

Presumably if they’re old enough to brush their own teeth they’re not very small?
Sometimes the shock treatment is the only thing that will work. Kids teeth are getting worse and worse compared to 20 years ago, and they need to know why it’s so important.

He has a different parenting approach but the same goal.
Be pleased he also wants them to have nice teeth!!
