Happy Nappy wetsuit sizing advice

My little boy is starting water babies classes in just over 3 weeks and I need to buy a happy nappy which they say he needs to wear over a disposable nappy.

He was 5 and a half weeks premature so is still quite small for his age (currently 12 and a half weeks) weighing 10lb11oz (4.86kg)
I’m thinking of buying the happy happy wetsuit as this would keep him warmer but am unsure of the size to get. The sizes are 0-4 months (3-6kg) or 3-8 months (6-11kg).
I really want to get the bigger size as otherwise I’d have to get the next size up pretty soon anyway and at £25.99 a time I would prefer to avoid that. He has been putting about an ounce every day or two so shouldn’t be too far off the bigger size by the time his lessons come around.

Has anyone purchased the happy nappy wetsuit? What are the sizes like? I don’t want it to be too loose and him not be allowed in class.

I’ve not had the wet suit but have the shorts for my DS I went online and got the measurements for each size so that I could measure his thighs tummy to make sure we got the correct age bracket as many people on likes of amazon were commenting how small the sizes were if you are able to find out the measurements that would be my suggestion rather than going off the age for sizing

We had the wetsuit that velcros down the front and found it small fitting.

I got ours second hand from eBay.

Definitely get the larger one. The sizes are on the small side, particularly since they changed the styles slightly.

The nappy has to be snug. I’d buy the smaller one off eBay though

We do waterbabies and the happy nappy has to be tight so I’d advise against getting a bigger one. We have a happy nappy and the warm in one wetsuit because our pool is pretty cold!

I've used happy nappies and felt they were small made

Recommend getting from jack & jill sale or ebay as they are extortionate full price
