Nieces bday on Thursday, DD is unwell

My nieces 2nd birthday is on Thursday and my sister and I were planning on taking her to SeaLife with my DD (16 months). Poor DD has a vomiting virus and I'm not sure if she will be better by then. If she seems ok on Thursday should I take her or would it be too much? and if she isn't well enough by then would it be wrong of me to leave her with MIL and go with my niece for her birthday?

Is it possible to postpone the trip a few days - it seems a bit unfair for your dd to be left at home, most toddlers really love going to an aquarium.
