started potty trainning two days ago my dd1 who is 30 monthes

she is fine when she has no nappy on she does not even have to be told when go on the potty she just does it and we have had one accident in two day

but tried knickers to day and she kept wetting them

is this a normal thing to happen

and what would you do
try a little longer with no knickers
use knickers and cope with all accident

another thing is when she does have an acciedent she seems a bit sad even tho i tell its ok

My DS was exactly the same. I left pants off whenever I could and the rest of the time just persevered and carried plenty of spare clothes!

In the early stages for times when we would be out for a long time I put him in nappies. I took him out in pants for short periods of time and gradually made outings in pants longer and got rid of the nappies altogether.

I think its a case of trial and error. For some children a gradual change works, for others a complete changeover works better as they may get confused. Some may recommend pull ups but I don't really rate them- each to their own though.
