I buy bundles of clothes off eBay for my kids as I can't be bothered to shop....

That's it really. Don't know whether it's a confession, or a boast (saving money ) or what. I just thought perhaps it is a little strange....

Basically I never have enough time to trail around the shops, and the kids hate it anyway. So I tend to find big bundles of things in good condition on eBay and then just bid quite a high price to make sure I get them.
I find that if find someone with the same taste as mine then it's a bit like having a personal shopper, and it all gets delivered straight to my door.

We then just chuck out or send to charity anything we don't really like, or is not in good condition.
Also I don't really care then whether the kids get really dirty or rip their clothes, as I don't feel as if I've spent loads of money.

One of my friends was quite shocked when I told her this.
Does this make me a bad parent??

Far better to save money on clothes and use the savings for something more exciting like days out IMO. Especially if, like my boys, they have no interest in what they're wearing and just get filthy in any event.

We pass clothes down from DS1 to DN, DS2 and DN2. So handy to have 4 boys in the family! Many clothes were eBay/ charity shop. Great for the environment and great for the wallet. I'm doing it until they start complaining. I really don't understand parents who spend loads on children's clothes for everyday wear.

I did not even realise bundles were a thing!

I hate shopping with a passion. Most all DC's clothes come from sainsburys as I can just about tolerate that...

I do this! I agree with the personal shopper thing too. I have found a seller that has identical taste to me (but deeper pockets!) so I always keep an eye on her to see what she's selling next. Seems like her little girl outgrows clothes just as I want them. I'm going to done for stalking aren't I?! Single White female-esk.

I got 36 items, all from Next, for £32 plus £5 postage. Bargain! It was all washed, ironed and in excellent condition.

Most of my dc's clothes are from Ebay. Ebay and Sainsbury's to fill in the gaps. Except poor ds2 who lives off hand me downs from his siblings and his sister's best friend. How else would dd have a wardrobe full of Joules and Boden if not for ebay?

Weird thread to resurrect!

I don't, because I love buying children's clothes, but there isn't anything inherently wrong with it!

Now that I realise this is a zombie thread, I'm quite tickled that Frogs is still selling her dd's clothes. Just a slightly older dd Grin.
