A question for wool wrap users . . .

I like knitting n fancy having a go at making a wool wrap for ds - can anyone give me any pointers e.g. type of wool used (is it pure wool), how to lanolise it etc? Any info would be greatly appreciated as I'm gonna give it a go once I've finished crocheting his baby sling

Not got any tips but am wanting to make one myself and I have found a few sites with free patterns on, also there is a yahoo group called wool soaker group, its american I think but the ladies on there have loads of advice and tips!
