Probiotic supplements for babies - any experience??

Hi there

I was hoping to find out if anyone had any experience of or recommendations for probiotic supplements for babies? My baby is almost 12 weeks now but was born 10 weeks premature and so has a corrected age of around 2 weeks. She’s having a lot of tummy and digestion issues and I was advised to try probiotics as she had a few doses of antibiotics in NICU and they think could have upset her gut.

Looking to find out what the best ones are for newborns - be great to hear if anyone knows anything.

Thanks so much!
fx

We used the bio gacia baby drops ones for our DS. He was a little older, but the were amazing. we only ever had to buy one bottle, add s few drops to milk feed one a day I think (it was a while ago) and it completely transformed his digestive issues. He was screaming and sobbing when pooing before, since taking them hasn't had any issues. Am pregnant now and will definitely use them with the next one.

Ah thank you so much for this info boopdoop this is amazing and just what was hoping to hear, from someone who had tried them! I will check out bio gacia - it doesn’t mention age on the site, but will drop them a line tomorrow to get guidance re age limits. Thank you again and have a great Sunday x

Optibac are great for little ones. I used (and still use) them if my son has a tummy upset or anti biotics. You mix it with their formula but it had to be cold not warm.

Hi I use Udo's Choice powders with my LOs. They are older now but have used them for years as my youngest has had to have lots of antibiotics over the years. It's a powder that you stir into fluid/sprinkle on food or even put on nipples if you are breast feeding. Hope this helps. Ps find online including Amazon.
