Daughter has a piercing - DH is going spare!

Hi all, I've been a long time lurker and decided to test the water with a couple of posts yesterday. The water seems fine, so i'll ask for a bit of advice.
My DD (11) went to a friend's birthday party on Thursday and came home with a piercing in her lip. While I don't really mind, my DH and some of the other parents are going ape. I've always thought of myself as fairly liberal and had my first tattoo at about 14 so I really can't complain. It looks nice and doesn't hurt and it is very tasteful so what's the problem?
Anyway, how should I deal with DH and will she get any grief from school?

Who did it for her?
If it was a professional i would kick their arse around the street.
11 is wasy too young for a facila piercing.

Your dd went to a birthday party at 11yo and came home with a facial piercing - did they get your permission or ask you or similar?

Regardless of what you think about piercings I piercing someone else's child is terrible. I think its illegal as well without parental permission.

I would back up your DH - I can see why he is furious.
