Potty training advice

For three afternoons in a row my almost 18 month old DD has not wanted a nappy back on when I'm changing her nappy. She will sit on the potty occasionally but hasn't done a wee or poo on it. She has held her wee and poo for over two hours until after I have had to put a nappy on her for bed or to go out.
If I try to put on her on the potty before she has asked to she refuses to sit on it.
When she wakes up in the morning she is dry and then will do a big wee (in her nappy) within 10 minutes.
She does know when she is going as she will tell us when she has gone in her nappy.

Should I be worried that she is holding it in for so long? And any advice on getting her to go on the potty?

I wasn't planning on potty training yet but DD seems to have other ideas!
